Akron Ohio shooting Oh the hypocrisy

On Wednesday May 22, 2002 Akron, Ohio Mayor Democrat Dan Horrigan, a career government servant with no private sector experience, announced his condolences to the families of the 19 children who died in the Texas school shooting.[1]

Each death due to gun violence is tragic. Each one leaves behind a grieving family and a mourning community, Horrigan said.

In addition,
Our hearts break each and every time there is a victim of senseless gun violence and it’s far too often we have to express condolences to those victims and their families.
Also, This country needs to wake the hell up and realize it has a gun problem. This isn't about politics. This is about protecting our children and our communities. I'm urging every state capital and Congress to take swift action, Horrigan said in the statement. In addition, he joined a political group of Mayors across the U.S. known as the Mayors Against Illegal Guns. [2] That was a lot of bold rhetoric when the shooting didn't involve his own town and his own employee, nor had the investigation been completed. Now, he doesn't want us to be quick to judge and wait for his city to complete the investigation.

The Mayor of Akron was not the only government official to jump on the Gun Ban Band Wagon. The city council passed a resolution, sponsored by city council vice president Jeff Fusco (D), denouncing the Buffalo. NY shooting as a white supremacist terrorist attack. The Mayor signed the Resolution and passed it on to the Ohio State Governor. [3] Since seven of the eight police officers were white men with unblemished records will the Akron city government jump to obtain political capital like they did in the Texas and Buffalo, NY shootings, and condemn their own government of being corrupted by white supremacist? Additionally, The city council approved in 2015 the purchase of a Glock -semi automatic- 9mm for the police department replacing the old school pistols. [4] The now city council vice president Jeff Fusco was the city council president and mayor during the 2015 new semi automatic gun purchase for police officers. He approved the purchase. Understand what he did. He approved the purchase of expanded fire power for the government, his government, but petitioned for reduced firepower for the universal private sector.

The second amendment of the US Constitution grants guns rights to every US Citizen with no restrictions. Thus, there is no such thing as an illegal gun. Many people, to this day, believe that those who vote for unconstitutional laws regulatingg firearms are engaging in treasonous actions towards the US Constitution.
